Due to COVID-19, Currant is closed indefinitely.
A little history:
In May 1927, Pickwick Hotel opened on First and Broadway. By 1940, it had become a popular tourist hotel and nightspot. It featured The Piccadilly Lounge, a favorite with both guests and locals.
Time took a toll on this once-vibrant spot, and by 1986, new owners Ken Winslow and Harki Parekh of Pickwick Partners, Ltd. realized that the hotel needed a new start. In 2005, major renovations began, and by 2006 The Sofia Hotel was born, revitalizing a piece of San Diego history. In 2007, Currant joined her side, and opened its doors to offer visitors modern cuisine with a classic spark.
